Oh crisis, the more intense you become, the nearer it is for relief.
"with hardship goes ease" (Ash Shareh, 6).
- if you want to know the time of dawn, watch out the intensity of darkness. Oh brethren, this is the law of Allah.
The greater the Muslims' hope is, and the more hearts wait for the awakening of the world, the more increase there is in the severe and intense announced war from the kin and the remote against Islam. The problem is not only declaring war against the minarets of mosques or the clothing worn by Muslim women, nor does it end at ridiculing the most honored person created by Allah, it rather reaches each spot and region in the lands of the Muslims.
However, with the humiliation and weakness of the Muslims, we see how the curricula and school books are changed in the Muslim countries, one by one. It is said that these old books contain some hostile expressions, especially, when the disbelief of the Jews or the Christians, or one of the rules of Islam, namely holy fighting, is mentioned.
This Ummah is required to be changed into white doves, but at the same time, a fierce war is waged against Islam everywhere.
I have never imagined that the media could be so insolent to a degree that an American broadcaster bragged with full mouth, in Al Jazira, program, "From Washington" saying: "Our problem is not with extremism. It is rather with Islam because Islam is a religion in which Allah commanded His Messenger to teach his followers to kill infidels wherever they find them".
This is how they talked about Islam…
And this is how a Westerner teaches the Muslims their religion, and details the rules of legislation for them. He does not read Arabic, nor does he understand it….Is he ignorant, or the media instigated him to say what he said??
This case is referred to, as the people of religious specialization know, in some verses in Surat At Tawbah (Repentance) in which the Exalted Allah said: "And a proclamation from Allah and His messenger to all men on the day of the Greater Pilgrimage that Allah is free from obligation to the idolaters, and {so is} His messenger. So, if you repent, it will be better for you; but if you are averse, then know that you cannot escape Allah. Give tidings {O Muhammad} of a painful doom to those who disbelieve.
Excepting those of the idolaters with whom you {Muslims} have a treaty, and who have since abated nothing of your right nor have supported anyone against you. {As for these}, fulfill their treaty to them till their term. Allah loves those who keep their duty {unto Him}.
Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them {captives}, and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor due, then leave their way free. Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
And if anyone of the idolaters seeks your protection {O Muhammad} , then protect him so that he may hear the word of Allah; and afterward convey him to his place of safety. That is because they are a folk who know not.
How can there be a treaty with Allah and with His messenger for the idolaters save those with whom you made a treaty at the Inviolable Place of Worship? So long as they are true to you, be true to them. Allah loves those who keep their duty.
How {can there be any treaty for the others} when, if they have the upper hand of you, they regard not pact nor honor in respect of you? They satisfy you with their mouths the while their hearts refuse. And most of them are wrong doers" (At Tawbah, 3-9).
Oh beloved brethren, these verses were revealed to purify the sacred places of Al Hijaz from the polytheists who took partners with Allah. The Exalted Allah commanded Ibrahim (PBUH) and his son, Ismail, to purify His House: "And We imposed a duty upon Abraham and Ishmael, {saying}: Purify My house for those who go around and those who meditate therein and those who bow down and prostrate themselves{in worship}" (Al Baqarah, 125), so that the Ancient House might be the source of monotheism. This is a rule indicated by the Exalted Allah in the Holy Qur'an related only to the sacred places in Al Hijaz. It has nothing to do with the unbelievers elsewhere.
The Exalted Allah speaks about putting idols in the sacred places of rituals. It is unpalatable for the Muslim who seeks circumambulation around the Ancient House, or stands on Arafat, to find a worshipped idol in his way, for the aim of pilgrimage is monotheism.
Oh ignorant…, Islam does not kill the unbelievers. Oh idiots, I challenge you to present one verse or a Prophetic Hadith that calls to killing the unbelievers in general.
If the idolaters insisted on resisting the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to put idols in the sacred places of rituals, the Exalted Allah would command His Messenger (PBUH) to kill the defenders of this procedure so that the Ibrahimian rule be realized, but killing the unbeliever in general is something we neither read, nor know about in the religion of Islam.

In spite of the fact that an intervener in the mentioned channel insinuated to the falsehood of what that American broadcaster said, the issue was not rightly considered, neither an answer to that false talk was heard from a specialized.
Such a talk is a sample that represents the ignorance we hear about day after day from the West.
When such a talk is widespread in the bodies of the Western media about Islam, we should not be surprised to hear that in the Dutch parliament there was a referendum on whether minarets should be allowed or not!
Were it not for this unfair trend, minarets would not have been banned in a country that was known for its values, such as Switzerland.
There is an organized war prepared by all means of media to distort Islam.
Concerning this subject in Islam, the Exalted Allah said in His Qur'an: "Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who do not fight you for {your} Faith", i.e., the opponents of the unbelievers, "nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them; for Allah loves those who are just.
Allah only forbids you, with regard to those who fight you for {your} Faith, and drive you out of your homes, and support {others} in driving you out, from turning to them {for friendship and protection}. Whoever turns to them does wrong" (Al Mumtahina, 8-9).
Islam calls the Muhammadan Ummah to be righteous and good to the unbelievers. A lot of people may not know about the fact that forbidding the visit of the Jews and Christians to the sacred places is still a controversial matter. Imam Abu Hanifah, in whose judgment all the people have trust, believes that the visit of the Jews and Christian to Mecca is not forbidden.
Consequently, where is the call to kill the unbelievers in our Islam?
When the Exalted Allah talked about the Jews and Christians in the Holy Qur'an, He praised those who embraced Islam: "Those who follow the messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, whom they will find described in the Torah and the Gospel {which are} with them. He will enjoin on them that which is right and forbid them that which is wrong. He will make lawful for them all good things and prohibit for them only the foul; and he will relieve them of their burden and the fetters that they used to wear" (Al A'taf, 157).
This is the identity of Muhammad (PBUH) in their Holy Books. Let those who belong to Christianity or Judaism learn about the description of the identity of Muhammad (PBUH) as written in their Torah and the Gospel.
Could a man who enjoins good be antagonized?
Could, in the logic of the wise, a man who forbids evil that human nature and human virtue deny; a man who makes good things lawful and forbids the foul, be antagonized?
Could the wise antagonize the man who relieves, by the order of Allah, the Jews and the Christian of their burden, i.e., the hard rules that were ordained for them, "and the fetters that they used to wear" because he brought mercy and forgiveness?
This is the Muhammadan image presented in the Torah and the Gospel, so wherefrom do the misleading, the idiots, the stupid and the prejudiced present these delusions?
Wherefrom do they present this distorted image about the Messenger of Islam and about his religion?
Either we are not good enough in expounding Islam , or there is an organized war planned against Islam. In other words, what we have said and told about is well understood by their intellectuals, but they aim at deceiving the world to distract people from right to falsehood, and in both cases we are underachievers.
We are underachievers in expounding Islam; we are underachievers because of our cultural weakness. We have become so weak that the enemies of Islam encroach upon us; we have kept silent, so the enemies of Islam begin explaining Islam to people in a way that is quite remote and contrary to truth.
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and his religion are summarized in the following statement of the Exalted Allah: "Now has come unto you light from Allah" (Al Ma'idah, 15). The light is Muhammad (PBUH) who came to enlighten the others. He antagonizes only the advocators of darkness.
"And a perspicuous Book", i.e., a clear Book whose concepts cannot be reversed by its enemies, "Whereby Allah guides him who seeks His good pleasure unto paths of peace" (Al Ma'idah, 15-16), i.e., it guides humanity to the path of safety and to the path of peace. Can a religion of such quality be described by the prejudiced, the idiots and the stupid as it calls to the killing of the unbelievers?
"He brings them out of darkness unto light by His decree, and guides them unto a straight path" (Al Ma'idah, 16). A religion of this quality can be antagonized only by the bats...
It is a Qur'an that adopts and conveys the religion of Ibrahim (PBUH) who is made Imam (leader) to people, and herald of peace: "And when Ibrahim prayed: My Lord! Make this a region of security and bestow upon its people fruits, such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day. He answered: As for him who disbelieves". Ibrahim asked the Exalted Allah to bestow security, livelihood and food upon those who believe, but the Exalted Allah bestowed them to those who believe and who do not believe.
After all the clarification of the Qur'an, the idiots, the stupid and the prejudiced say that their problem is with Islam because it calls its followers to kill the unbelievers!
"And when Abraham prayed: My Lord! Make this a region of security and bestow upon its people fruits, such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day, He answered: As for him who disbelieves, I shall leave him in contentment for a while", in this worldly life, "then I shall compel him to the doom of fire a hapless journey's end" (Al Baqarah, 126).
We are not required to call the unbelievers to account in this life, because the Exalted Allah will do that on the Day of Resurrection.
We are rather required to do two matters:
We fight whoever fights us in religion.
We fight whoever expels us from our homeland.
Consequently, our fighting is directed to two types of people:
Those who fight us in our religion; who change our Qur'an and distort the image of our Prophet; who reverse the truths of Islam; who prevent us from praying, from pilgrimage, from Zakat (charity); who prevent us from the obligations prescribed by the Exalted Allah; who prevent the Muslim woman from wearing the headscarf that the Exalted Allah orders, etc… .
- and those who expel us from our homeland.
Except for these two types, our religion is definitely a call to global compassion, void of any manifestation of violence.
But the Exalted Allah said to us: "Let not their conduct grieve you, who run easily to disbelief, for they injure Allah not at all. It is Allah's will to assign them no portion in the Hereafter, and theirs will be an awful doom" (Al Imran, 176).
That is, be steadfast and reassured because the Exalted Allah knows quite well that in the successive generations, there will come people who hasten to disbelief.
"For they injure Allah not at all". They will rather injure themselves because however much the distortion is, the light will definitely spread and reach the hearts… .
Those who fear that Islam may enter every home in the world, have to wait.
But if they knew Islam well, they would know that Islam is better than the introduction of electricity, and the modern means to the houses.
Islam produces civilization ....
Islam produces virtue ...
Islam produces ethics ...
Islam produces mercy ...
Islam produces light ...
Whoever antagonizes Islam and be the means of waging war against it is the enemy of himself. One of the Gnostics said: "Those who antagonize the sun are the enemies of themselves", for the sun is so high that she will not be affected by those who antagonize her.

But what should our duty be as we live this turmoil, this global confusion, and this declared war against Islam which is increasing day after day?
Overall: Islam could not be understood quite well unless the Arabic language is understood. The obligation of spreading the Arabic language is sacred. Those who want to understand the Qur'an have to learn the Arabic language.
The second instance in importance is that we should translate the meanings of Arabic words into different languages so that they could be understood.
We do not claim that we are able to make the others understand Allah's Book as those who know Arabic well, but we can make the meanings nearer to their minds when we explain them in other different languages.
Oh beloved brethren, this is a brief view, but our detailed duties are the following:
1-We have to be trained on feeling the unity of human sympathy.
It is the unity of human sympathy that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) taught his followers and companions to adopt, when he stood on the day of slaughtering the sacrificial animals in the Farewell Sermon. He (PBUH) said: "O people, your Lord is One, and your father is one".
Oh, enemies of Muhammad (PBUH), you, who are ignorant that Muhammad is a mercy to you, this is the lesson Muhammad (PBUH) taught us.
In the Holy Qur'an, there is reference to this unity of human sympathy: "Verily We have honored the children of Adam. We carry them on the land and the sea, and have made provision of good things for them, and have preferred them to many of those whom We created with a marked preferment" (Al Isra', 70).
The Exalted Allah indicates the dignity of human species to Him, and through the unity of human sympathy, the Muslim can by sympathetic with the Ummah of the called, and that of response. The Ummah of the called is every human being on the earth, and the Ummah of response is every Muslim in the world, east or west.
We have to train our children and youth on the unity of human sympathy so that we can understand and make the others understand the virtue of Islam to the world at a time, in which a lot of people call to honoring races and nationalities.
2-We have to be trained to address the whole world, a fact we derive from the Holy Qur'an, for the Qur'an is an address to the whole world. In the Holy Qur'an, it is not said: "Oh Arabs, or Muslims". It is said: "Oh people".
The Exalted Allah said: "O mankind! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that you may know one another. The noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Allah is Knower, Aware" (Al Hujurat, 13).
We have to rekindle the flame of hope in the hearts and repel despair, because the Exalted Allah has promised us victory, and His promise is true. Consequently, whoever adheres to truth should not be a prey to despair however dark the night he sees. The Exalted Allah is the best of the truthful when He said: "It is He Who has sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religion. And Allah suffices as a witness" (Al Fath, 28), i.e., Allah suffices as a witness, for He, Exalted He is, has testified that His religion will prevail. It is indispensible that Islam will spread with mercy. It will definitely spread and enter into the hearts, not by means of guns, cannons or bombs, because it is a religion that need not be supported by force. It is a religion that contains strength within the elements of its own doctrine.
Truth is stronger than falsehood; virtue is stronger than vice; truthfulness is stronger than lying; straightforwardness is stronger than deception and fraud; mercy is stronger than anger; justice is stronger than injustice; etc… .
Consequently, Islam will enter all the hearts that have been ignorant of it when they realize and understand it, and know that Islam presents them more goodness than what too much wealth presents.
4-We have to relate the concept of rightness and straightforwardness to two matters together, namely, abstract promotion and material one. The Muslim cannot be righteous and straightforward until he is promoted in both. Abstract promotion is his relationship with the Exalted Allah, and material promotion is when he applies the means of renaissance and civilization. The one who fails in following cosmic laws could not be called upright and righteous.
5- We have to adopt the method of action, not reaction, because those who stir and move are plenty. It is indispensible for us to build. The more increase in distortion and turmoil, the more steadfast we have to be and follow a clear plan to build up man, virtue, justice, human equality, and to build civilization inside and outside us.
6-Oh brethren, we have to reveal the fact that Islam does not coerce anybody to be bound by it. The crisis is not that of coercion, it is rather the crisis of injustice.
The world crisis is that of an oppressor who wants to devour the oppressed weak. This is our contemporary crisis. When the wise of the West realize this fact, as they call for justice, they will share us our fighting against injustice. But when they have the illusion that we raise the banner of coercion, their reaction will be hostility to Islam.
7- We have to be acquainted with the purposes of calling to Allah, expressed by the Exalted Allah in Surat An Nazi'at when He said: "And say to him, Would you that you should be purified {from sin}, And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him?" (An Nazi'at, 18-19).
When the Exalted Allah sent his Messenger, Moses (PBUH) to Pharaoh, He ordered him to say: "And say to him, Would you that you should be purified {from sin}, And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him?" Accordingly, our Lord, Exalted He is, guides us to realize the fact that change should be in souls, for when the souls are purified, the deeds become righteous.
" Would you that you should be purified {from sin}", that is, when calling to Allah is directed to purifying the souls, its consequences will appear in society.
"And that I guide you to your Lord", when guidance to Allah exists in man's heart, he will fear Allah by being constantly aware of Him. Consequently, he will never be perverted after being purified and guided to his Lord.
When calling to Allah is directed to the cause of major righteousness, namely, purifying the soul and being guided by Allah's guidance, perversion will disappear.
8- The first requirement of the proselytizers is straightforwardness, patience, and concord among them. The Exalted Allah said: "If you persevere and keep from evil their guile will never harm you" (Al Imran, 120).
It is indispensible for the proselytizer to be forbearing, for if he grumbles, the expected consequence will not be attained.
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH), and those who were with him, suffered from enemies. He (PBUH) suffered from the kin and the remote, but he was patient. The Exalted Allah calls us to be patient and righteous. He said: "If you persevere and keep from evil their guile will never harm you".
Internal coalescence is necessary so that we do not waste our time in internal discord among the people of faith: "And {as for the believers) Allah has attuned their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth you could not have attuned their hearts, but Allah has attuned them" (Al Anfal, 63).
9- We have to give special care for the media in our calling to Allah. The media sheds light on the ignorance of some extremists affiliated to Islam, so that the enemies of Islam would say: this is Islam. It is a filthy game of the media.
Consequently, the image of Islam is distorted by extracting some texts from their contexts, as the example I have mentioned above concerning pilgrimage, "And a proclamation from Allah and His messenger to all men on the day of the Greater Pilgrimage". Consequently, they make purifying the Ancient House from the unbelievers as a command from the Exalted Allah in Islam and to the Muslims, via the Messenger (PBUH), to kill the unbelievers wherever they are.
Moreover, youths are preoccupied with trivialities and by dissolution of ethics so that they get away from the duty of their cultural role.
On the other hand, a purposeful positive role should be adopted so that the wheel of civilization and renaissance in our societies be pushed forward, and so that the media may not be mere information about sports, and presentation of brazen ecstatic songs.
A media role should be exercised by specialists to make the others understand how preaching should be, and how the element of suspense should be used to present the best idea.
10- We have to learn how to be comprehensive, and get away from clashing with the others, because what is required is building up man in a settled environment. Such a state can never be achieved in a confused environment. Consequently, a distinguished type will be produced in a settled environment.
Oh brethren, these are brief remarks on this subject that could be dealt with in more details. I only aimed at quoting extracts from the fruits of wisdom that we need at this time of chaos and disorder.
Oh Allah, guide us to You favorably, and make us from those who listen to wisdom and follow the best of it.
